Vida Water supplies, installs and maintains plumbed-in water coolers, boiling taps, hot water boilers and drinking fountains for Leicester and Leicestershire, from city-centre offices and venues to distribution and food-production sites along the M1 and M69.
The most direct route from Lichfield runs east along the A5 through Tamworth and Atherstone to Hinckley, then up the M69 into Leicester. It is roughly 40 miles, usually 50 minutes to an hour. For business parks on the west side, such as Grove Park at the M1, and for logistics sites towards Lutterworth, the motorway network gets us there without crossing the city.
Hinckley and Nuneaton are on the way, so sites across south-west Leicestershire fit into the same visit.
Every system we fit is mains-fed: no bottle deliveries to schedule and no storage to find. We also service and sanitise equipment that other suppliers installed, so everything can sit on one agreement. Most Leicester enquiries start with a free site survey, where we check your water supply, space and headcount and recommend the right equipment.
A lot of Leicester's working population is in warehouses, food production and manufacturing. That means large welfare areas, shift patterns and equipment that works hard. In these sites, the service schedule matters more than the brochure.
Hot water equipment is where this shows first. Instanta, whose boilers we install, advises that in hard water areas it is advisable to fit a scale reducer to limit scale deposits
. It also says six months between filter changes is the norm, with a shorter interval where the water is hard. Leicester is supplied by Severn Trent and hardness varies across the area, so we check your postcode and your daily usage at the survey and set the servicing interval to match. We do not apply one standard to every site.
For a distribution site, the right setup is often a mix: a high-capacity boiler and chilled tap in the canteen, plus plumbed-in fountains near the loading bays and picking areas, so nobody walks the length of the building for a drink.
We work across the city and the county, including:
It depends on the floor area, headcount and shift pattern, not just the number of staff. We walk the site at the free survey and recommend positions, so people are not crossing the building for a drink.
Every six months is the usual standard for a typical workplace. Heavy use or harder water can justify a shorter interval, and we set that at the survey.
Yes, including Hinckley, Lutterworth, the M1 corridor and the business parks around the city.
No, but you do need a mains water supply and a power socket nearby. We check both at the survey and tell you what is practical.
